Freedom...

As the past few days there's been a lot of media coverage on Chick-Fil-A. While I was laying in bed last night thinking, I wondered what people thought the owners faith & beliefs were. This company closes on Sundays just because of their beliefs & it seems like people are outraged at his belief. Yes they are saying it's because he's against gay marriage but that is his belief..Some people don't believe in marriage, or inter racial dating or marriage. What's the difference? Why aren't people outraged about that and boycotting people like that? Despite what everyone wants to believe this country hasn't grown up in that aspect we just learned how to adapt and mask how we feel because it's politically incorrect. I do claim to be an imperfect, sinful & very wavering faith Christian at times. We all are, there is no one out there that is perfect & without sin. Last I remember is that we aren't to judge anyone. That's not our job, we can't judge unless we are without sin. My children have an "uncle" that is gay. We absolutely adore & love him. He would give us the shirt off his back if we asked or even needed it. All I want is for him to be happy & that's that. He's a good man, yes we don't agree with some things but he is a GOOD man & good people are hard to find now days. He doesn't shove it down our throat but we don't also discriminate against him because him being gay. Why should we? That goes against everything I stand for & what God stands for. He says love everyone , even your enemies. As a mother of with children, I TRY to instill that we love everyone no matter what their beliefs, preferences or even race. The main reason I tell my children this is that we are not perfect & neither is anyone else. Judge a person for that person not by his religious preference, sexual preferences, or even by their race. There are good & bad people of every walk of life and that is how we should look at it. We live in a great country where we have freedom of speech & religion. We are allowed to exercise this to the fullest. Personally I think this country would be a better country if we can agree to disagree. We should be tolerate of different opinions, it would make this world a better place. My family & friends have died for this freedom the least we can do is respect that we don't agree & learn to be tolerate of each other. Above all things what are we teaching our children? Are we giving them tools to grow up & be able to show empathy,be selfless and loving adults? Yes it's good to know what you believe in & where your stand in your values but that is just that it's YOUR values & we should be able to show respect to others that don't share the same ones.

should we turn the other cheek...

It has come to my attention that some times we should turn our heads when its someone in our profession or line of work. We were talking about someone cheating on their wife with an acquatiance of ours but since he & she were in the same line of work we "wont judge" since it has nothing to do with me. Seems odd when the same person doesn't like or care for cheaters accepts it because they stand bside their co-workers not because they are friends or even family it's because we are brothers & sisters in blue & we stick together...no matter what the cost is to anyone else around that will be affected..
Don't get me wrong, judging is not the right thing to do but when is it that you turn your back on your own beliefs. What you think is right or wrong. We all have that person we stand beside no matter right or wrong but when do you draw the line when it compromises your belief?
What about the other people involved that doesn't know. It seems like a downhill roll once they find out, seems like its not fair they are being punished for something they didn't do or have no control over.
Then there are things done that are unforgiveable. When do we compromise what we believe in for the ones we love? Or do we just keep our mouths shut because it is a difference of opinion and turn the other cheek...Just a thought.

Time goes by so fast...

A year ago I was blessed with one of the most precious gift I could ask for. My youngest son was born, through the year we've discovered fear, heart ache, sleepless nights. In the end was all worth it. Now my son is able to hear. I couldn't imagine a lifetime of silence wondering what people sound like. I'm very grateful.
Life has gotten better for the most part. This year started out great and hopefully it will continue. I've learned that people aren't what they say they are.
Now I know I can do this from my mobile look for more updates soon.

Tired...

I'm about to rant so if you don't want to read it this is the warning..
I'm tired of being the one who has to wait to be second, I'm tired of having to see if I am important enough to hang out with or want to be with. I'm tired of not being flirted with like we use to or just plain hearing I'm sorry to not being flirted with. I want to be loved, I want to be important & I want to matter!! I'm no longer that girl he loved so much or looked at with endearing thoughts. Never claimed to be an angel but I try to be nice & treat people as I want to be treated. It never seems to work for some reason, I try so hard ..
I just sit, pray & cry. I wear my heart on my sleeves to where it gets hurt so much and so often..Remind me of how you are suppose to talk to a woman..with care, love maybe endearing words. I must say actions speak louder than words

Boundaries.....

As children we're given boundaries from our parents. What not to do & what we should do..what's polite or what is rude..but what about as adults?
As adults we make our lives more complicated. From everyday relationships to acquaintances ...how we conduct ourselves...With some of our relationships we're very open , honest & wear our hearts on our shoulders. With others we are guarded, unsure..why is that? Why is it we are so much more open with certain people than others..Some times when we first meet a person we all ready know that we can trust them we automatically know and for others we are guarded and unsure. If we are unsure why do we still persist with those relationships..Is it to remind us of what characteristics to be cautious of...maybe show our children that it is good to be around all types of people no matter what their background is..Either way there seems as adults our boundaries become blurry.....but we make our relationships more complicated than it should be..One thing for sure is we lose our honesty, goodness & innocence as adults as we get older....
Just a thought...

Distance

I'm standing in the dark reaching my hands out to you. The tips of my fingers barely grasp onto you but just as quickly as I grabbed on you were gone. Stepping slowly trying to be careful in the dark wishing I could see just a spot of light through the dark. Then I see your face staring at me. I feel hopeful again but then you are whispering something..I can't make it out & then you're gone again. I feel the warm tears dripping down my face, I just sit in the dark and wait.....

Honesty.....

The last few days have been rough. I just want honesty...I'm a very open person. When I am with someone I tell them everything but I've been told.."there's just a too honest" Where in our lives does this apply too? Don't we tell our children to tell us the truth no matter what?
Honesty is....a way we can prevent from being hurt from finding out from someone else...a way to know how the other person really feels about us.....the truth....a way to see if someone is just settling...a way to see if your siginificat other still loves to flirt with someone other than you....
Words are a lot to say but it's the actions that really count. Like being open is to open every part of your life to that one person. There's no need to delete messages, hide text messages, change passwords...if there's a need theres something to hide, you're embarrassed, or you just plain don't want that person in that part of your life.

Please be kind, open & honest with the ones that matter the most. Not push them away cause once you push too far it may be too late to repair that relationship. Love them as much as you can, words hurt & can't be taken back. Words are never forgotten, words cut deep & makes scars that can never be healed. So be kind, open, honest & loving. It's amazing what happens when you treat people with those charcteristics.
